Then we might have the job for you! Det Nordjyske Mediehus is looking for delivery drivers with their own car to distribute newspapers, letters, magazines, and parcels for dao in North Jutland.
🌙 About the Job
As a delivery driver, you are one of the most important pieces in the invisible network of the night. You ensure that the residents of North Jutland wake up to their newspapers, letters, and parcels in their mailboxes or at their doorstep – accurately and on time.
Distribution takes place during the quiet hours of the night and early morning between 03:00 AM and 11:00 AM. This job is ideal for you if you enjoy the quiet roads, work well independently, and take pride in doing things thoroughly.
📦 Your Tasks
- Start at the depot: You meet at our depot in [City/Depot], where you pack your own car for today's route.
- Delivery and quality: You drive out on your route and ensure safe and correct delivery directly to the door or mailbox.
- Pace and overview: You maintain a good pace and use your sense of direction to keep deadlines.
You will receive thorough training from an experienced colleague as well as daily support from our operational managers.
🕒 Working Hours & Working Days
- Expected hours: Typically 12–32 hours per week (depending on the calculated time for the agreed route).
- Working days: Up to 6 days a week.
- Shift time: Between 03:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
🙌 We Are Looking for Someone Who:
- Has a valid driver's license (Category B) and access to their own car to use on the route.
- Has a good overview, a strong sense of direction, and can read and understand Danish addresses and house numbers.
- Is reliable, responsible, thorough, and thrives on working independently at night and in all weather conditions.
- Can communicate in either Danish or English.
Since you will deliver to many different addresses throughout the night, it is essential that you are conscientious so that everyone receives the correct mail at their home. You should also be prepared to work on public holidays.
You will work under the Danish Postal Act (Postloven). This means, among other things, that all mail must be handled professionally, confidentially, and delivered with high quality to the correct recipient – on time.
📋 Salary and Employment Terms
- Collective agreement: Employment is covered by the Courier Agreement (Budoverenskomsten - 3F), ensuring fair and secure working conditions.
- Salary:DKK 159.73 per calculated hour according to the collective agreement.
- Mileage allowance: Tax-free mileage reimbursement is provided for driving your own car according to current government rates.
- Equipment: You will receive gear and clothing suited to the weather conditions.
